My Experience in International Work Camp Japan 28th

I want to share about my best experience ever. I am representative of DhyanaPura University. Such a great experience to join International Work Camp Japan 28th. This program start on August 18th until September 4th. First of all, I would like to say thank you to St.Andrew University Japan and Widhya Asih Foundation who gave me an opportunity to join in this work camp.
First time i met Shuhei, Kota and Remi at Puri Saron Hotel

I was so glad to meet some friends from another country. First time I met them all at Puri Saron Hotel (18/8). Some of them introduce their self in English. Then I tried to introduce my self in Japanese. I was so nervous because my Japanese was not good enough. I just speak in English but I didn’t want to be selfish. I guess, I have to speak in Japanese too. So I studied hard at night. And sometimes my room mate (Remi Sugiyama) help me too.  Day by day, I could talk with them. I’ve tried to talk with everyone. And all Japanese students were so friendly and funny. We can understand each other. If I made a mistakes in my sentences, they tried to recorrect patiently.

In Blimbingsari I stayed at Mr.Kornelius’s home with Remi Sugiyama. MrKornelius and family are very kind. Bapak ,Ibu and Kak Made are my new family from now on. My homestay is near from Asrama. It takes 3 minutes from homestay to asrama. And there is ‘Warung’ at my homestay. Remi was so happy too.

I got a great experience when we worked at Melaya and gave some Japanese Lesson for High School, Junior High School, Elementary School and Vocational High School. That was my first time to teaching in front of the class. I have never been before. I was so happy because we can make a good team work. That was awesome! I can learn anything from this program. We were dance, sing, went to Church, played together with children and laugh. Such a lovely time. I can learn about some Japanese culture too.

Another moment that I’ll never forget is when we cooked together. You know, I really love Japanese food, so I was very excited when we cooked together.

The moment that still stucked on my mind, when we visited Banyu Poh village. I saw their condition. I saw a smile from the children but I guess, behind that smile there was a problem. It was so touched. I cannot imagine if I was in their shoes. Well, I’m so thankfull.

We spent 2 weeks with love. Because we are not just a friends but we are best friend. I was so sad because we have to separate.

I would like to say thank you to Remi. I love you so much. You were always helped and worried me. I miss you so much.

Thank you to my besties Kota, Shuhei, Shota. You are very funny. Thanks guys for making me laugh everyday during work camp. "Arigachu.." I will always remember that you were always told me that we are family. Yes, we are family!
